MINNEAPOLIS (February 16, 2021) – AdFed’s The Show is back for 2021 in a whole new format – an immersive virtual experience. It’s THE SHOW 2021: because nothing on earth can quench the creative need for praise. This award ceremony has celebrated Minnesota’s advertising community’s achievements in creativity for almost a century. The Show 2021 will be the event’s 95th year.
Earthlings can tune in from everywhere to network, watch the all-powerful reel, and participate in some delicious drink demonstrations. But, be warned: this is no traditional Zoom call.
This year, with the purchase of a ticket, attendees will receive an experiential kit delivered to their door that participants activate as they follow along with The Show. This kit includes libations from Modist Brewing or 2Gingers Whiskey, a bottle of champagne and confetti cannon to celebrate winners, as well as a link to The Show virtual event, plus a few other surprises.
The night will start with introductions from radio and TV personality Steve Patterson, before breaking off into virtual rooms for a Creepy Creatures Cocktail Class with 2Gingers Whiskey or Beer Trivia with Modist Brewing. The whiskey experience, includes entertainment by Forbes 30 Under 30 Mixologist, Marco Zappia as he shows how to create the following concoctions:
- Loathe Potion #9 – A highball with irish whiskey, pandan leaf, co2
- Creative Tears: A sour with irish whiskey, fermented honey, ginger, lemon
- Nightcap of the Living Dead – An old fashioned with irish whiskey, cocoa nib, hazelnut, aromatic bitters
The beer experience includes entertainment by Modist Brewer, Joe Nourse, and TV/Radio Host Steve Patterson as they lead beer trivia paired with three eclectic beers.
After the alcohol portion of the evening, participants enter the networking arena, where they will get a chance to meet and schmooze with the best in the industry. This segment is sponsored by Fredrikson & Bryon who will select winners for $50 gift cards to support businesses in the Midtown Global Market.
At 8:00 PM The Show Reel sponsored by WoodenShoe Productions & SisterBoss will begin and reveal the winning Gold and Best of category work.
To wrap up the night, at 9:00 PM the Best of Show Award will be crowned with an epic stunt sponsored by Street Factory Media & Lurie. A look out the windows in Minneapolis, just might be met with a UFO sighting.
