AdFed has open positions for the 2025-2026 Board of Directors. We don’t want to toot our own horn (except we are advertisers, so that was a lie and of course we do), but we are pretty awesome and are sure you will want to be friends.
The AdFed Board is a group of hardworking, well-connected professionals who volunteer their time and talents to plan and execute events and initiatives that highlight and educate our local advertising community. AdFed offers networking opportunities, seminars, presentations, and other industry events to celebrate the Twin Cities’ market strength and global impact. Being on the board means you get rad friends, industry connections, access to the latest and greatest talent, and free food at the monthly meetings (oooooh).
Here’s a look at what we expect from board members:
- Required attendance of 1.5-hour monthly board meetings, held in-person after work hours (typically the third Tuesday of the month from 5:30-7:00pm)
- Attend monthly 1-hour small group/committee meetings
- Must commit to a minimum of 10 volunteer hours related to The Show, regardless of board position
- Expected to attend all AdFed events and most Ad 2 events (board members attend for free!)
- Serve a term length of 1 year; President/Vice President may offer renewal for additional years

Membership (2 open positions)
Membership is the core of what we do! Connect with the incredible agencies and individuals that make up the Twin Cities advertising community, and help them understand all there is to love about AdFed. - Communicate value and importance of local and national membership, to members and non-members

Digital Operations
What’s an advertising nonprofit without a good-looking (and good-functioning) website? We’re looking for a Digital Operations Chair who can keep our site on its toes and make sure our digital operations are working as hard as possible for AdFed members, sponsors, partners, and the board of directors. Responsibilities include:
- Own and maintain technology driving the AdFed web platform (WordPress) in collaboration with Executive Director

- Advise on the currently-underway website refresh, in partnership with leadership and other board members
Public Service
Ooh, is this new to the AdFed lineup? It sure is, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. AdFed is taking on a public service project this year, and need two brilliant Co-Chairs to make it happen! We’re looking for one board member in the creative/design space, and one who excels at strategy and communications. Both Co-Chairs should be adaptable and proactive, with a broad swath of skills. Responsibilities include:
- Work with Executive Team to develop project parameters and timeline
- Collaborate with Public Service Co-Chair and external Public Service partner (the happy beneficiary of all your great work) to strategize, plan, and execute the project
- Develop creative concepts and digital/print assets
- Develop communications strategy, copy, and marketing materials in support of Public Service initiatives
While this is a full-year position, work for this role will be concentrated in the first half of the board year with a focus on August-December 2025.
Board applications are due Friday, June 13.
