JT Mega Food Advertising is looking for talented and versatile people who enjoy working with smart colleagues to solve marketing challenges in creative and non-conventional ways.
We’re looking for individuals who might consider themselves to be a swiss army knife of sorts (freelancers located in Minneapolis): WordPress developers who can get things done efficiently, like to experiment with new tools, and are willing to dive in and learn new skills as needed.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and maintain WordPress websites, ensuring fast performance and responsive design across numerous browsers and devices.
– Collaborate with designers, editors, project managers and other team members to implement website features and functionalities.
– Customize and extend WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks, and plugins as needed.
– Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to website performance, security, and user experience.
– Work with a variety of hosting solutions and partners to troubleshoot server errors/configurations.
– Dive into other website platforms as needed (examples: LeadPages, Salesforce, Hubspot, Shopify, Squarespace/Wix, etc.).
– Translate email layout design to HTML code.
– Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in web development.
Requirements:
– Local to Minneapolis/St. Paul – may need to come in to the office for meetings
– Proven experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of past projects.
– Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
– Experience with custom themes, Gutenberg block, and plugin development.
– Experience working with staging/production environments, as well as a variety of deployment processes.
– Strong working knowledge of version control systems, primarily GitHub.
– Comfortable translating design mockups to working layouts in the Gutenberg Block Editor.
– Proficient with WYSIWYG layout editors/builders (Elementor, MailChimp, etc.)
– Knowledge of website performance optimization and security best practices.
– Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
– Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud suite, primarily XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
– Apple/Mac user preferred
