Description:
We are looking for a dynamic leader to manage and grow our stellar group of PR experts. The SVP, Public Relations will provide thought leadership to the agency and clients, is a key member of the agency leadership team, and will lead the agency’s public relations team into the future. The ideal candidate will have a clear vision when it comes to all things PR: media relations, reputation management, influencer marketing, experiential and trade shows, and crisis communications.

Additionally, the SVP, Public Relations must have solid experience in the consumer food space, as we continue to build momentum in this area. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, and inventive when creating, managing, and executing consumer campaigns that tell a brand’s story, reinforce brand promises, and highlight points of differentiation in a highly competitive landscape.

In addition to leadership responsibilities, the SVP, Public Relations also will handle several concurrent client and agency projects. Strong writing and storytelling skills are a must, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Provide strategic counsel to clients to best meet goals and expectations
Review projects and messages with PR Directors to ensure all are on strategy and shared with clients effectively
In partnership with PR Directors, lead development of annual PR plans as part of integrated communications plans; present PR plans to clients
Serve as the key client contact regarding PR scopes of work as well as any client concerns
Act as first point of contact in the event of a client crisis
Involved in all new business opportunities, leading PR recommendations across all industries
Establish strong working relationships with media representatives (both editorial and sales) and third-party partners
Is well versed in client industries and key PR trends
Identify PR opportunities with existing or potential clients for agency growth
Develop PR capabilities and programs to differentiate broadhead from competitors
Is knowledgeable in all areas of agency work, and finds opportunities for collaboration with other departments
Supervise and real-time coach PR Directors, ensuring ongoing conversations on performances and career paths
Lead professional development opportunities for PR team

Experience
12+ years of public relations experience, with at least 5 years’ experience managing a PR team in a client or agency setting
