10 Missions Media is seeking a graphic designer to join our team producing the award-winning FenderBender magazine, for the auto collision repair industry, and Ratchet+Wrench for the auto care industry. Both are national, business to business magazines that tell stories of success, struggle, and strategic growth of the owners and managers in their respective industries. Our combined circulation is near 150,000 readers. And make no mistake, these mags are not designed as boring and stale b2b publications, but instead are edgy, contemporary and always pushing the envelope of design to bring our readers a better experience. Simple stated, we take design seriously and know it makes a positive impact in business today. We are seeking a dynamic graphic designer with a great attitude.
This is a growing company with high expectations. A persistent drive and positive attitude are a must. In a position that is multi-faceted and fast-paced, the ideal candidate has:
At least 3 years experience in the publishing industry designing for magazines
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign
The ability to manage multiple projects and/or assignments
Strong typography and color skills
The ability to work effectively under tight deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Conceptual thinking skills
A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile
Must be resourceful and proactive
Job Summary
This is a graphic design position reporting to the Art Director. Overall work responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Conceptualize, design and layout of magazine departments and columns as needed
Design of marketing collateral
Designing of print ads
Design of digital ads/projects
Organization and management of internal workflow
PDF creation
Uploading material to our website as needed, and other miscellaneous projects
+ html, flash and social media knowledge a plus.
