Jonesing for a little competition on the golf course? Craving some camaraderie and a tall one after a hard day's work? Ad Fed hosts an array of events that are as diverse as our members' ring tones. From luncheons to parties to award shows, Ad Fed events are second to none. We aim to keep the fun factor constant while satisfying the evolving needs of our business professionals. 32 Under 32 is an exciting new award, sponsored by Ad 2 and The Advertising Federation of Minnesota, recognizing the best and the brightest advertising, marketing and public relations professionals in the Twin Cities under the age of 32. With nominations now closed, it’s up to our esteemed panel of judges to narrow down the list of nearly 200 amazing candidates to the 32 finalists.
The winners of this prestigious award will be announced publicly at the rewards reception from 6 – 9:30 pm on May 29th at the Fine Line Music Café. With so much talent in the room, one will want to make sure to be dressed to impressed by wearing their finest semi-formal or cocktail attire, as this will surely be a night to remember. Apps will be served and there will be a cash bar. Adding to the festive atmosphere a DJ will be spinning – spontaneous dancing is highly encouraged! This is an event that you surely don’t want to miss!
In addition to being recognized at this event, the winners of 32 Under 32 will be profiled in Thirty Two Magazine, featured on the Minneapolis Egotist and received a commemorative poster. So come support your co-workers and friends, make some new friends and dance the night away as we celebrate these amazing marketing and advertising professionals.

Katie Eggers | Founder & Publisher, Thirty Two Magazine
Katie Eggers is the publisher and artistic director of thirty two magazine, the Twin Cities' best-selling independent quarterly, which she founded after a stint in PR at Tunheim. Originally from Germany, she went to school in Paris where she earned her M.A. in Communication Studies, while working as a communication consultant for the United Nations.
Travis Robertson | Creative Director, Target
Travis Robertson is a Creative Director and Writer who oversees the voice of the Target brand as experienced by millions of customers in every conceivable medium— from in-store to broadcast to social communities and everywhere in between.
Kris Newcomer | Development Director, The BrandLab
Kris has been a digital project manager, account executive, director of client services and a small business-marketing consultant. She is currently the Director of Development for The BrandLab, a Minneapolis non-profit that works to change the face and voice of marketing and advertising by creating opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.
Susan Rylance | VP, Digital People
Susan Rylance has spent the past 15 years with Digital People where she has consulted with agencies and corporate America to find top creative talent in the Twin Cities. Some of these companies have included Aveda Corporation, Target, Life Time Fitness, Select Comfort, Carmichael Lynch, Lacek and Martin Williams.
Jennifer Johnson | Professor, University of Minnesota
Jennifer Johnson is a creative director with nearly twenty years of advertising experience, yet she still considers herself a student of the craft. She was North American Creative Director at Leo Burnett on Procter & Gamble’s Luvs diapers. As a Group Creative Director/Senior Partner at Carmichael Lynch on Brown Forman wines, she introduced a new Australian wine to America. Jennifer’s career was launched at Ogilvy & Mather on brands like Nutrasweet and Sears. And as a Creative Director at Campbell Mithun, she led initiatives on Alberto Culver. She also gained a bit of local notoriety, becoming one of the first female Executive Creative Directors in Minneapolis.
Dan Weston | VP / Creative Director, KNOCK
Dan's strong creative vision complemented by maintaining a strict adherence to strategy gives Dan the perfect balance that makes brand success look totally effortless. With 13 years of award-winning creative marketing experience in the fashion, home, and beauty categories, Dan has crossed many channels—from in-store signage to broadcast TV—to bring major retail initiatives to market. Despite the growing number of elements that can be included in any major effort, Dan effectively directs even the most complex of projects. Before coming to KNOCK, Dan spent most of his career changing the retail landscape from creative positions within Target, with a key role in shaping style campaigns for the brand.
